The Robin's Nest Country Park is located at Sha Tau Kok in the northeastern New Territories. With undulating mountains, dense woodland, shrubland and upland grassland, it offers breath taking natural scenery. Along the connecting path from Shan Tsui to the start point of the Robin's Nest Country Trail, military relics from the World War II still remains. The Japanese army built pillboxes and trenches to deal with the potential counterattack of the Allies and guerrilla activities during the occupation of Hong Kong. After visiting these remnants, the journey to enjoy the stunning landscapes of mountains and sea begins.
As you hike along the trail, you soon reach Ah Kung Kok, where you will enjoy panoramic views of Sha Tau Kok and Shenzhen Yantian in a distance. Continuing on, you will reach the top of the hill, then following the ridge line until Hung Fa Chai. Along the way, you can feel sea-breeze gently brushing your face. While gazing out to the east, you can enjoy the serenity of Luk Keng, Nam Chung and Double Haven. Looking north, the stunning views of Shenzhen Wutong Mountain come in sight. When you arrive at the viewing point, take a glance of Pak Sin Leng and Wong Leng at far, then look back and take in the winding trails you have hiked, it is time to relax and enjoy the tranquil beauty of nature.
Every spring, Red Azalea blossoms on Robin's Nest, painting the hill with patches of red creating a picturesque scene. In winter, the landscape transforms into a different color when it covers with seas of silvergrass sparkling under the sun.

Start Point
Take public transport to Tam Shui Hang Bus Station at Sha Tau Kok Road – Shek Chung Au, and walk along Shan Tsui Village Road for about 30mins to the start point of Robin's Nest Country Trail.

End Point
Return to start point and take public transport for leaving (~2.5 hours hike), or continue to the Lin Ma Hang Country Trail (2.6km, 1.5hrs hike) and arrive at the Lin Ma Hang Village and leave by green minibus.
Green minibus route– 59K

Please note that starting from 24 January 2025, the Government opened a specified section of road within the Frontier Closed Area (FCA) near Lin Ma Hang Village (Wang Lek to the entrance of the Lin Ma Hang Village), by exempting the requirement to apply for a Closed Area Permit for the public travelling by green minibus passing through that section of road. Visitors can travel to and from Lin Ma Hang Village and Robin's Nest Country Park directly by green minibus through the abovementioned section of road within the FCA. The exemption is only applicable to persons travelling by green minibus through that section of road within the FCA, but does not apply to those taking private vehicles, taxis or other vehicles, or using other means of travel such as walking or cycling, without a valid Closed Area Permit. Visitors who would like to travel to and from Lin Ma Hang Village on foot may use the connecting path next to the FCA. The connecting path is a hillside footpath outside the FCA.
